expect comprehensive, patient-focused care...

Ours is a comprehensive, patient-focused approach to dental care that it based on building equal, interdependent relationships, where we collaborate with you and become partners in problem solving. As opposed to just “working on your teeth” we spend time planning, preparing, educating, motivating and learning about you as an individual. As dental health professionals, our greatest value is in our judgment in treatment planning – anyone can whittle down teeth.

...beginning with a comprehensive evaluation

Do you know your dental destination? You, the patient, are in the best position at any given time to make decisions that affect your health. Before you can make those decisions, however, it's important to clarify and understand what it is you want to achieve. In much the same way that you can't map out a trip without a destination, you can't make decisions about your dental health without knowing where you want to end up – your dental destination.

At our cosmetic dentistry Toronto facility, the comprehensive evaluation begins with a pre-clinical interview. The interview is designed to help you think about and clarify what it is you want to achieve in terms of dental health now and to help you start focusing on the future.

In the second phase of the evaluation we begin the co-discovery. During this process, we look at what's happening in your mouth and what can happen. You'll learn about cause and effect as it relates to dental health (for example, a broken tooth happens to be the tooth that hits first when you close your mouth). We'll discuss signs and symptoms you may be experiencing. The sequence of the exam varies as I learn along with you how issues impact upon you personally.

Finally, I summarize for you the issues I believe are affecting your short-term and long-term dental health. My goal is to help you understand the entire mouth (teeth, gums, joints, muscles and bite) as it relates to your individual health. With this knowledge, you are better prepared to identify problems and weigh solutions, to make a plan that will ensure you arrive at your dental destination. the journey to stable dental heath.
